The Monte Nido Valley Community Association

Do you remember the day you made the big decision to call Monte Nido your home? Whether you are a recent arrival or a longtime resident, we all feel fortunate to have discovered a true mountain nest. What brought you here? The glorious sunsets and tranquil dark-sky evenings or the sound of coyotes and springtime bullfrogs? The long and winding equestrian and hiking trails outside our doorsteps or the safety of our neighborhood? Or perhaps simply the chance to live side by side with folks who will stop and chat and do not hesitate to lend a hand when there is a need?

The value of Community cannot be overemphasized. It’s what the Monte Nido Valley Community Association (MNVCA) is all about: preserving our rural way of life and promoting a sense of belonging.

We are you!

MNVCA is your forum and your respected voice in the Santa Monica Mountains. We interface with neighboring communities and government agencies. We help to maintain emergency preparedness and we look for ways to create recreational opportunities as well as protect our unique natural environment. We also bring you the traditional social events that make Monte Nido such a very special place: the 4th of July Parade & Picnic and the October Square Dance & BBQ.

The MNVCA Board is made up of eleven community volunteers who count on your support and involvement to continue to do the good work that Monte Nido Valley Community Association has been engaged in for many decades.

The MNVCA meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7 PM. (Check our Calendar for the location.) We’d love to have you join us and learn what is important to you!

Note: We limit members to residents who live within a strict geographic definition of Monte Nido. View the Monte Nido map for border lines.
