Update from Darci on NextDoor:

The Monte Nido Art Walk is going to be great this year! Here is a teaser of only a few of the talented artists who you, dear neighbors, will get to experience for FREE, in your very own neighborhood! Please check out the website of the talented Cleo Maggiore, whose studio will be a short drive over to the street shared by the Hindu temple. Cleo is a fantastically talented and imaginative illustrator and leather craftsman who will be sharing her brand new studio with us! She will have for sale art prints, leather horse tack, wallets and bags!

Joshua Saltman, creator of the Saltman by Hand line of sophisticated hand-made solid-wood furniture and sculptural bowls, will be sharing his magnificent creations in his home studio. Please visit his website beforehand to learn how his skill has been developed and refined over four decades.

For years, Marty and Cathy Ikkanda have graced the neighborhood with their beautifully constructed collections of pottery and paintings. They are a seemingly never-ending source of creativity and skill, emphasizing, and likely inspired by, the natural beauty that surrounds us here in Monte Nido. They were recently the featured artists at the King Gillette Ranch Visitor Center! A poster featuring some of their work can be seen attached to this post. Calling more artists to join this wonderful event! Neighbors who are planning to visit the studios: why not invite some friends from out the area and make a day/night of it? Certainly, this is a day that calls for celebrating the place in which we live. (Rain will postpone one week. Beyond that, well, we haven't thought that far....)
